| This section of the business is dedicated specifically
to the needs of the fire support requirements within the aviation
industry.
FireTech has a wealth of experience and contacts within the industry
in the UK, and are able to provide a range of services, equipment
and vehicles for airfield and airport fire and rescue services.
It may be that one of your fire appliances has gone "off the
run" in a CAA environment that can mean "downing the CAT"
of the airport - a potentially costly implication. This can also
be necessary if you are short staffed, through illness, injury,
holidays etc.
We
have a Scania Viper or Dodge RAM CAT3 vehicles available, if you
require a aviation fire vehicle at short notice, and we can have
it delivered anywhere in the country within 24 hours .
If however, it is CAA fire crew members you need - we can provide
you with staff from a Low Cat Firefighter to a High Cat Station
Officer, from a day to a year.
In 2005, we introduced a full and comprehensive service for smaller
airfields up to CAT3 in the UK, offering fire vehicles built to
your specification, equipment, including breathing apparatus, cutting
and rescue gear, foam, uniforms and helmets. For more information
on the aviation fire vehicles we are now building, please click
on the aviation fire vehicles icon above.
FireTech are now providing several clients with long term contracted
fire and rescue services, including fully equipped fire vehicles
with CAA qualified firefighters and junior officers, this is a unique,
valuable and cost effective solution, to raising the CAT of a airfield
to suit specific aircraft movements. For example, if the airfield
runs at CAT 2, but has CAT 3 movements every Saturday. We can provide
the vehicle and/or additional crews to meet the CAA requirements
for such, just on the Saturday. We can even provide fire vehicles
and fire crews to meet the stringent requirements of High CAT, covering
CAT4 and above. FireTech currently take a CAT 2 airfield to CAT
5 for a contracted 80 days per year.
FireTech also supplied six aviation fire vehicles from large aviation
foam tenders to an officers car, along with over 150 CAA firefighters
to the Farnbrough Airshow 2004.
