FireTech have forged a relationship with Kawasaki in 2004, to develop a range of Quads and Mules, for the emergency services in the UK.

Until now, if you needed a small fire appliance, to act as first line response, the only real option you had was a Landrover, or similar vehicle, particularly if 4x4 was a requirement. By their very nature, these vehicles can be expensive to buy, run and maintain. However, there is now a very real, much cheaper alternative.

The first vehicle to be released in the UK is the Kawasaki Kwikfire Quad. This utility vehicle has the amazing capability of being able to respond quickly and effectively into areas that may otherwise be inaccessible, due to either access or the terrain itself. It is designed to be the first response fire vehicle in such areas, and is therefore ideal for rural brigades.

The Kwikfire Quad, has a rear mounted tank, carrying 50 litres of water, with a front mounted pump with small hosereel and lance. You do not have to have a special licence to ride it, and it is fully road legal, it comes complete with two tones, blue lights and striping. Our package includes one half day training session on delivery of the quad, and all for under £7500.

Whilst this particular model is designed for the fire industry, it can easily be adapted to suit coastguards, as a rescue unit. with a stretcher unit mounted on the rear, and an emergency pack on the front, ideal for mudflats, as it will operate even in relatively deep water.

If your requirements dictate that you need two people with the first response unit, and/or you need to carry additional equipment, or possibly water supplies. There is the option of the Kwikfire Mule, this amazing small utility vehicle can be 4x4, and can carry up to 1/2 ton, and tow just over 1/2 ton. These vehicles can be designed to your requirements, as they give greater scope for adaptation.
